Residential grease traps (also called grease interceptors) are receptacles that separate fats, oils and grease from the wastewater before entering the sanitary sewer lines. It separates fats and oils when they surface inside the trap and are trapped using a system of baffles, displacing clean water into the sewer line.

Most homes in San Diego don’t have grease traps installed, but as a result of our experience and all the plumbing problems we see on a daily basis, we recommend get yours installed as with a grease interceptor you can recycle gray water to use it in your garden.

If you want to get a grease trap installed in your home or business give us a call to learn about local regulations and proper maintenance for grease traps.
